Sebastian Saavedra is a Senior Associate at Hernández & Cía. in the Mining and Environment areas. 

In 2022 he obtained his LLM degree (Distinction) in International Mineral Law and Policy at the University of Dundee.  He has more than 10 years of experience in regulatory, environmental and occupational health and safety matters in the mining sector.  He has participated in the development of strategies for obtaining governmental consents for exploration, construction, exploitation and processing projects in the mining sector, and also providing advice in the processing, monitoring and obtaining of such consents. 

He has participated and led the execution of audits in matters of environmental compliance, sufficiency of permits, and safety and occupational health aspects.  He has provided legal advice in the defense of companies in the mining sector, and the electricity and hydrocarbons subsectors, in administrative sanctioning procedures before OSINERGMIN, OEFA and ANA.
