Robert is a partner in Piper Alderman’s national Infrastructure and Projects team based in Sydney.
With over 30 years’ experience, Robert provides legal services for developers, builders and owners of retail shopping centres, aged care, industrial and residential developments. Robert has also developed a large international infrastructure practice advising on both soft and hard infrastructure projects, including ports, power, education, telecommunications, mining and agribusiness.
Robert’s practice involves tendering, negotiating and documenting: EPCs, EPCMs, design and construct and other service procurement and consultancy agreements. His work also involves drafting and negotiating MOUs, HoAs, consortium deeds, project agreements, shareholder or JV agreements and business asset sale agreements.
Robert is an accredited Security of Payment adjudicator. In 2005, he was appointed to the Master Builders Association's Legal and Contracts Committee and in 2009, the Authorised Nominating Authority Committee. In 2015, he was appointed Honorary Patron of the Institute of Building Consultants in New South Wales.
In 2017, Robert was recognised as a leading construction lawyer in Legal500 directory where he was described as ‘outstanding’ and someone who ‘thinks very commercially’.
