Michael is a member of the firm’s Labor, Employment, Benefits, & Immigration section where he handles a wide range of litigation and counseling matters in the labor, employment, and higher education sectors. His practice includes defending clients in employment litigation, drafting policy documents, and advising on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Michael joined Buchanan as a Summer Associate in the Philadelphia office before becoming a full-time attorney.
During law school, Michael served as an Associate Editor of the Drexel Law Review, where he authored a Note focusing on legal education reform. He also worked as a student attorney in the Federal Litigation and Appeals Clinic at Drexel Kline School of Law. In this role, he represented pro bono clients in immigration proceedings, developed legal strategies in multiple areas of immigration law, and attended an Individual Hearing where his client successfully obtained asylum and a path to U.S. citizenship. Additionally, Michael completed public interest internships at local and national civil rights organizations, gaining experience in civil rights litigation at both the state and federal levels. He also served as a teaching assistant for Drexel Law’s unique undergraduate B.A. in Law program.
