Andria is a healthcare and data privacy attorney based in the firm's New York office. Her practice focuses on regulatory healthcare matters, as well as data privacy and security law. In the healthcare space, she assists clients through complex mergers and acquisitions and advises them in corporate compliance issues. Additionally, Andria handles internal investigations and state and federal fraud and abuse matters, providing guidance on Stark Law, the False Claims Act, and the Anti-Kickback Statute. Her healthcare clients encompass health systems, post-acute care facilities, physician groups, behavioral health facilities, investment-backed entities, and ambulatory surgery centers.
Beyond healthcare, Andria's capabilities extend across industries, assisting organizations of all sizes in ensuring compliance with federal and state data privacy and security laws. She provides strategic counsel on regulatory frameworks such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), and various health privacy acts. Furthermore, Andria has experience handling data security incident responses, conducting breach risk assessments, advising on state law data security breach notifications, and advising on Office for Civil Rights investigations. Her privacy and security clients span international retail stores, national security alarm systems and surveillance companies, home health agencies, and investment and wealth management firms.
A Jurist from the Netherlands, Andria obtained her Dutch Law Degree from Utrecht University and continued her legal studies in the United States. While enrolled at University at Buffalo Law School, she served as an extern in the United States Western District Court for the Honorable Lawrence J. Vilardo and worked for the Vice Provost for Inclusive Excellence. Andria was also a member of the Trial Team, Negotiation Team and Intellectual Property Law Journal.
Andria currently serves as the co-chair of New York State Bar Association’s Healthcare Section’s E-Health and Information Systems Committee and is part of the American Health Law Association’s Women’s Leadership Council.
