Weightmans LLP is pleased to announce the firm is now in formal contract negotiations with a view to completing a merger with Ford & Warren in July 2015.
The two firms share a number of synergies in respect of clients and sectors, very similar values and cultures, and above all a passionate commitment to achieving the highest standards in delivering legal services to their clients. The merger will add to Weightmans’ national presence with outstanding expertise and the resources to ensure that we continue to meet the ever-increasing needs and expectations of all clients, large and small, whether public bodies, private businesses, not for profit enterprises or individuals. The merger will enhance the existing support provided to clients, as well as enhancing the capabilities of our core services. The merged firm will continue to be known as Weightmans LLP. It will increase the national reach of Weightmans, adding the current Ford & Warren office in Leeds to its existing eight locations. The merged firm will have 187 Partners and a total headcount of over 1400 people.
