Five Partners in Banking & Finance, Labor & Employment and Commercial Litigation Earn Recognition

Chambers and Partners recognized two Bell Nunnally practice areas and five partners in its 2024 Chambers USA guide.

Bell Nunnally is ranked in Labor & Employment (Band 5) and Litigation: General Commercial (Band 4).

Partners Alana K. Ackels (Labor & Employment; Band 4), William A. “Trey” DeLoach, III (Banking & Finance; Band 5) and Nikki Hurst Gibson (Banking & Finance; Band 4) are ranked individually in Texas. Managing Partner Christopher B. Trowbridge (Litigation: General Commercial; Band 5) and Partner Kartik R. Singapura (Litigation: General Commercial; “Up and Coming”) are ranked individually in Texas: Dallas, Fort Worth and Surrounds.

“We’re honored by these Chambers rankings based, in large part, on the confidence our clients have in us. Every day we work hard to earn their trust and have the opportunity to serve as a key business partner, navigating challenges and pursuing opportunities,” said Christopher B. Trowbridge, Bell Nunnally managing partner. “As a firm, we are thrilled to see our rankings expanding year-over-year and more fully reflecting the broad array of our practices all devoted to client service and being Behind Every Great Company™.”

Chambers interviewees on firm practice areas noted:

LABOR & EMPLOYMENT

  • ·        “They are always on top of every complex and sophisticated issue we throw their way. They stay on top of current laws and research matters to make sure nothing is missed.”
  • ·        “The legal team’s knowledge of all aspects of employment and commercial law always exceeds expectations.”

LITIGATION: GENERAL COMMERCIAL

  • ·        “Bell Nunnally has a strong command of sophisticated matters and is also able to explain nuanced topics succinctly.”
  • ·        “Bell Nunnally provides strong legal knowledge and defense strategies, as well as strength at table negotiating. The lawyers bring a lot of business acumen.”

Chambers USA ranking tables are compiled through assessment of a firm’s work and opinions from external market sources, with an emphasis on client feedback. Firms and lawyers need to demonstrate “sustained excellence” to be ranked.

Chambers and Partners’ professional researchers conduct extensive client interviews to make their selections, assessing practices for: technical legal ability; client service; depth of firm teams; commercial vision and business understanding demonstrated; diligence and attention to detail; and value for money. Individual attorneys are vetted for their knowledge and experience, ability, effectiveness and client service.

Chambers interviewees on individual attorneys commented:

ALANA ACKELS – “Alana is a class act. She is articulate, engaged and committed to her clients. She always takes the time to answer my questions, hears my concerns and feels like a true teammate.”

TREY DeLOACH – “Trey is a very knowledgeable attorney and is able to easily manage complex issues efficiently and effectively.”

NIKKI GIBSON – “Nikki is an outstanding attorney and offers valuable legal advice and efficient service.”

KARTIK SINGAPURA – “Kartik is incredible.”

CHRISTOPHER TROWBRIDGE – “Christopher does an extraordinary job. He is very good at dealing with issues efficiently, effectively and creatively, but all in a way that helps address problems that arise.”
