Bell Nunnally for the second year partnered with Project Unity to host a “Together We Dine” luncheon for the firm’s employees. This dining experience brought colleagues together to engage in courageous and safe conversations about race, race relations and current events, telling personal stories and engaging in active listening. A longstanding offering of Project Unity, “Together We Dine” participants are guided in their dialogue by trained facilitators – the majority of which are drawn from partner and champion the Dallas Bar Association – at each table. Through events like these and other programs, the organization provides diversity and inclusion solutions to companies and organizations that seek to offer unique experiences and resources to their employees.
“‘Together We Dine’ is an essential event as it works to start and broaden the dialogue on issues that often divide us as community members,” said Bell Nunnally Partner and Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee Nikki Hurst Gibson. “Project Unity’s work to simply bring people together has been powerfully transformative – overall and here at Bell Nunnally. We have gained tremendous perspective and deepened our empathy for others. And, hopefully, our dining companions have had a similar experience.”
