Bell Nunnally Partner Mikel J. Bowers has been named a “Fellow” of the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA) – an invitation-only international honorary association composed of lawyers specializing in construction law and related fields. Beyond recognition, CLSA’s mission includes providing an outlet for scholarly authorship of legal articles on construction practice; offering those in the field additional sources for professional development; serving as a venue to champion superior advocacy and ethical standards in the practice of law; and assisting in community involvement by its membership.
Per CLSA, “Fellowship is limited and selective, with lawyers being invited into Fellowship upon a proven record of excellence and accomplishment in construction law at both the trial and appellate levels.” Fellowship is limited to 1,200 total attorneys – across the United States and internationally – and those selected are required to have “superior ethical reputations.”
Bowers’ experience includes litigation involving major construction projects and claims, complex commercial matters, real estate disputes, landlord and tenant issues and lending practices. His commercial litigation experience also includes disputes related to insurance coverage, oil and gas contracts, health care and hospitality and a diverse array of business and contract cases. In addition to his status as a CLSA “Fellow,” Bowers has also been named a Benchmark Litigation “Litigation Star” the past two years.
