Bell Nunnally Partner Kristopher D. Hill chaired “Hoops in the Highlands,” a competitive three-on-three basketball tournament in late March benefitting Lake Highlands High School, Lake Highlands Junior High and Lake Highlands area elementary schools. More than 200 teams, featuring nearly 850 kids from kindergarten through eighth grade, participated in the event.
Hill’s involvement with “Hoops in the Highlands” is profiled in a recent article on Greet Lake Highlands magazine. The piece notes that Hill is a self-proclaimed “basketball junkie,” passionate about the success and evolution of the event. In 2022, Kris and his wife worked to transform the event into a two-day “extravaganza,” featuring basketball plus dance troops, concessions and merchandise.
The article notes, “Over the years, Hoops has raised thousands of dollars for Lake Highlands schools, supporting initiatives that benefit students and teachers alike. This year, Hoops surpassed all of its fundraising goals and will be able to donate thousands of dollars to the PTAs of LHJH, the LHJH feeder elementary schools, and the Wildcat Club.”
