For the third consecutive year, Bell Nunnally has been named a 2022 “Top Workplace” by the Dallas Morning News in partnership with the employee satisfaction survey firm Energage, LLC.
The “Top Workplaces” feature honors 202 companies – large, midsize and small – across the D/FW region. Bell Nunnally is one of only four law firms to earn ranking as a “Top Workplace.”
“Top Workplace” selection is based on companywide surveys, where at least 35 percent of total employees indicate how true two dozen short statements are, including, “This company operates by strong values and ethics,” and “My job makes me feel like I am part of something meaningful.” Companies with the highest scores are named to the “Top Workplaces” feature.
“Bell Nunnally is a workplace that puts employees first. Two of our greatest strengths are our culture and our people, and both fuel our passion for helping clients solve problems and succeed,” said Bell Nunnally Managing Partner Christopher B. Trowbridge. “This honor belongs to every single person at Bell Nunnally. Everything we do, we do as a one Bell Nunnally team.”
“These bar-setting employers flexed their muscles by being highly adaptable, investing in technology to make working from home a more productive proposition and really listening to their employees,” said Morning News businesses columnist Cheryl Hall.
Active in the community, Bell Nunnally has been the title sponsor of PurpleStride DFW since 2011. PurpleStride is a 5K walk/run in support of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s (PanCAN) efforts to provide patient resources, support and research in the fight against pancreatic cancer. The firm has raised more than $270,000 for the organization to date. In addition, both the firm as a whole and its employees individually are active with a variety of civic and charitable causes.
As part of its efforts to create both a productive and convivial environment, each spring, Bell Nunnally hosts a social for all employees and their families. Past activities have included bowling and trips to local landmarks, including the Dallas World Aquarium, Perot Museum and the Dallas Arboretum. Among other team-building exercises, employees also enjoy table tennis, cornhole and pool tournaments, as well as holiday gatherings and a firmwide holiday party.
Led by its Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Bell Nunnally is also dedicated to promoting a more diverse and inclusive culture, in which appreciation and respect for individual differences informs every aspect of the firm. It is a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) and is a past recipient of its “Compass Award.” The firm has also signed the “Texas Competes” pledge and is in its sixth year as “Presenting Sponsor” for the Dallas Business Journal’s “Leaders in Diversity.”
